What file formats do you accept?

For manuscript text, we work with DOCX files. For tables, we accept DOCX, XLSX, and PPTX. For figures, we accept PPTX and standard image files. PDFs are not editable, so we cannot provide a comprehensive manuscript edit when the source file is only available as a PDF. PDFs can, however, be accepted for final proof checks, layout review on publishing projects, and figures that are primarily image-based. What is your typical turnaround time?

Standard turnaround is usually within one week. Express orders are typically delivered within 48 hours of confirmation.

How are editing rates calculated?

Accepted Answer

Rates are calculated per word. If there are sections you do not want checked, highlight them in gray and add a comment. The word count of that highlighted text will be deducted from the order total.

Question 4

Do you handle revised manuscripts and response letters?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Revised manuscripts and response letters can both be checked. To help us scope and price the work accurately, please highlight in yellow the parts of the response letter you would like us to check. In most cases, this means the author responses rather than the reviewer comments. In the main manuscript, please highlight any revisions made in response to reviewer feedback. Revised passages are treated as new text and charged at the usual per-word rate. When a manuscript has been substantially revised, we generally recommend a full reread so that the new material integrates smoothly with the existing text.

Can you help with references and journal formatting?

Yes. As part of our standard reference check, references are reformatted in line with the target journal's instructions. For manuscript formatting, we follow journal instructions where they are provided, or accepted best practice where they are not. This includes details such as font selection, heading and subheading structure, and general document presentation.

Is my work confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality is guaranteed. Your work with us is never disclosed, and your information is not shared with third parties unless disclosure is required by law.

Do you offer institutional or volume packages?

Accepted Answer

Yes. For editing, volume packages can be arranged for institutions or individuals who require large amounts of work over time. For workshops, pricing is based on the number of presenters, the duration of the workshop, and the preparation required. Packages can also be arranged for institutions that need multiple workshops within a single year. How do I get started?

Use the contact form on the site to send us your manuscript details and let us know the scope of the work required. For example, you may want the entire manuscript checked, or the manuscript excluding references. Please also mention any accompanying files you would like reviewed, such as tables, figures, or supplementary information. We will review the material, confirm the scope, and provide pricing before work begins.

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

For international clients, we currently accept PayPal, with Stripe planned in the near future. Additional payment options include Wise and bank transfer. For clients based in Japan, local bank transfer is also available.
