Christopher Magor is an editing and communications specialist who has spent more than 20 years helping researchers in various fields deliver their work to an international audience. With a portfolio that includes thousands of published peer-reviewed articles and numerous longer form publications, he has cultivated a reputation as a meticulous and detail-oriented science editor with a high publication rate.
Christopher Magor has worked widely in various fields of research, including (but not limited to) pharmacology, oncology, orthopedics, cardiology, endocrinology, microbiology, genetics, emerging diseases, infectious diseases, stem cells, gerontology, and public health. Outside of scholarly publishing, he has helped corporate clients refine their English language communications for internal and external audiences. This has included internationally known clients in the investment banking, consumer electronics, airline, defense, and manufacturing industries.
As an active member of the Council of Science Editors, Christopher Magor serves on the Editorial Policy Committee and as Liaison between the Editorial Policy and Marketing and Communications Committees. He is currently involved in the development of policies on best practices in relation to the ethical use of artificial intelligence by researchers, authors, and editors.
Beyond his work as an editor, Christopher Magor is an accredited research integrity trainer and has helped train diverse groups of researchers from around the world in a virtue ethics-based training program. In 2024, to increase his engagement in the areas of Open Science and Open Access publishing, he joined the Crossref Ambassador program. This role allows him to contribute to the dissemination of scholarly information and advocate for transparent and accessible research, further supporting his commitment to advancing the global research community.
