Christopher Magor is a senior science editor and accredited research integrity trainer based in Kofu, Yamanashi, Japan, with over 20 years of experience in the publishing industry.

He has edited thousands of peer-reviewed journal articles, books, and other publications for researchers from Japan and countries worldwide, across diverse research fields including pharmacology, oncology, orthopedics, cardiology, endocrinology, microbiology, genetics, emerging diseases, infectious diseases, stem cells, gerontology, and public health.

As an active member of the Council of Science Editors, Christopher serves on the Editorial Policy Committee and as a Liaison between the Editorial Policy and Marketing and Communications Committees. He is deeply involved in developing policies on the ethical use of artificial intelligence by researchers, authors, and editors.

He is also a Crossref Ambassador, promoting Open Science and Open Access publishing principles globally. His commitment to research integrity is demonstrated through his accredited virtue ethics-based training programs, which have been delivered to diverse groups of researchers worldwide.

His humanities background gives him a unique perspective on making complex scientific concepts understandable without diminishing their impact, a crucial skill when editing for researchers whose first language is not English.
